Mono Mononucleosis Lymph Nodes Fatigue TiredMono or Mononucleosis is sometimes referred to as the "Kissing Disease" because it is contracted through kissing or sharing food, drinks, silverware or through droplet infection. The disease is usually not serious, but you can have symptoms which vary from person to person, as mild to severe. Since mono is contagious, you may not be able to take part in normal daily activities for several weeks.

Symptoms of Mono

  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Sore throat
  • Swollen lymph nodes
  • Sore muscles
  • Loss of appetite

The clinic and our medical providers can run simple blood tests, such as a CBC or complete blood count while in the office and have results back before you leave from our full-laboratory. A swab done in the office can quickly be done to determine if mono is affecting your system.
