If you're a woman, your chance of getting a UTI in your lifetime is high, as many as 1 out of 2 women will experience this type of infection. Often, women have repeat infections due to genetics or medical conditions, while only 1 in 10 men experience an issue with UTIs. This infection can affect any part of your urinary system, including the kidneys, bladder, ureters and urethra. The clinic can give you results of a urinalysis while you wait in the exam room. Symptoms of UTIs
Our physicians may prescribe antibiotics as a common solution for urinary tract infections. Drinking 8+ glasses of water is recommended to flush the bacteria from your body, and cranberry juice is often utilized, however, research has not found that this is a significant way to reduce the infection. |
